The Black Beauty and Fashion Awards Africa is looking for one model to grace the BBFA Africa 2025 Winners magazine cover, free to download across the African continent and the Diaspora.  

The winner of this exciting opportunity will receive the following:

• Magazine Cover
• 4 pages spread with an in-depth interview.
• Professional photo shoot.
• The opportunity to work with some of the winning brands and products of the BBFA Africa 2025.
• 2 nights stay in a hotel in Africa. 
• 12 months of mentoring support for an industry-related business idea from industry experts.

The competition is open to females of African descent and mixed heritage.

This is not just another model contest, but an opportunity to inspire and nurture young, talented potential future industry entrepreneurs. This is among the activities the BBFA created to empower girls and give them a voice via the platform.

The face will promote innovation in African Beauty and Fashion on the Continent and feature in the company’s marketing campaigns in Africa and the Diaspora. Possessing a unique blend of beauty and brains, the winner will be an example of African excellence and an Ambassador for consumers of black beauty, fashion, and wellness products and business.

Criteria
All participants must:

• Must be 18 to 30 years of age
• Must be available to attend the awards ceremony
• Must be a black African or a person of mixed heritage 
• Must have an industry-related business idea
• Must not be pregnant
  
   

Requirements:

• Female: send us 6 high-quality photos of yourself (2 portrait headshots with makeup, 2 without & 2 full-length). 
• Hold a valid passport 
• Able to attend online video interviews

Competition Process

 Phase One: 

• Candidate registration.
• BBFA reviews the candidate applications and selects those who will face the public vote. 
• The successful candidates are published online. 

Phase Two:

• The public vote decides 20 candidates to proceed to phase three
• The successful candidates are announced online. 

Phase Three:

• The judges interview the final 20 candidates and discuss their business ideas. 

Phase Four:

• A winner is selected 
• The winner is announced.
