Hair, BEAUTY, wellness awards
BEST LIP PRODUCT. This category is for lip make-up products aimed at all sectors of the market. Entries can include (but are not limited to) lip colours, lip liners, lip balms, glosses and lip treatments.
BEST MAKEUP BASE PRODUCT. This category is for face make-up products, including (but not limited to) foundations, concealers, highlighters, bronzers, primers, face powders and blushers and pigment correcting products.
BEST MAKEUP HERO PRODUCT. This category is for make-up products that are add-ons but make the world of difference! Including (but not limited to) fixing sprays, make up primers for eyes, lips or face, pigment correcting products, brow gels or fixatives, powders, etc.
BEST NATURAL HAIR CARE PRODUCT. This category is for a hair product for non relaxed/virgin hair types including dreadlocks. Products can include (but are not limited to) hair oils, treatments, conditioners and shampoos.
BEST HAIR STRAIGHTENING SYSTEM. This category is for hair straightening systems. Products can include (but are not limited to) relaxer kits, and keratin systems.
BEST WIG MAKER / HAIR EXTENSIONS BRAND (HUMAN / HUMAN BLEND/SYNTHETIC) . This category is for wig manufacturers and specialists. Bulk hair, extensions for braiding and or wigs etc.
BEST SKIN CARE PRODUCT. This category is for skin care products aimed at the mass market. Products can include (but are not limited to) moisturisers, serums, cleansers, toners, micellar waters, skin care wipes, and oils.
BEST PREMIUM SKIN CARE PRODUCT. This category is for skin care products aimed at the luxury end of the market. Products can include (but are not limited to) moisturisers, serums, cleansers, toners, micellar waters, skin care wipes, and oils.
BEST BODY PRODUCT. This category is for body care products aimed at the mass market. Products can include (but are not limited to) body lotions, deodorants, gels, creams, butters, moisturisers, exfoliators and scrubs, as well as treatment products specifically designed for the body such as firming and cellulite creams and products for the décolletage. This category can include products targeted at specific parts of the body such as the feet or arms. However, this category does not include products for the neck, which are considered facial skin care products, nor hand products.
BEST BATH AND SHOWER PRODUCT. This category is for bath and shower products aimed at the popular end of the market. Bath and Shower products can include (but are not limited to) bath and shower oils, washes, herbs, gels, soaps and bath bombs.
BEST MALE GROOMING BRAND. This category is for products aimed at all sectors of the male market. Entries can include (but are not limited to) razors, shaving soap, foam and gel as well as aftershave and shaving repair creams. This category also includes beard maintenance products such as beard oils and beard trimmers or scissors. In addition general hair care and styling products, colouring products, shampoos, conditioners, and texturiser kits.
BEST NATURAL OR ORGANIC BEAUTY PRODUCT. This category celebrates the best in beauty products made with a high percentage of natural or certified organic ingredients, including facial and body care items such as cleansers, toners, and lotions. Eligible products must either be certified organic by a recognized international agency—where the certification applies to the entire product, not just the ingredients or contain a high percentage of ingredients derived from natural sources. Entries should clearly state the organic certification or provide details about the natural origin of key ingredients. This category honours clean, sustainable, and skin-friendly beauty innovations.
BEST Products for people with Albinism. This category will award the best skin care and body care products suitable for persons with Albinism. Products can include (but are not limited to) face, sun protection products and body washes, moisturisers, repair creams, balms and body sprays.
BEST WELLNESS PRODUCT. This category is for wellness products aimed at all sectors of the market. Wellness products can include products created to increase the health and longevity of the user. Products can include (but are not limited to) All types of supplements, CBD oils, essential oils and aromatherapy candles.
BEST ELECTRICAL PRODUCT. This category is for electrical appliances that can be used on the hair, skin or body.
BEAUTY TECHNOLOGY AWARD. This category is for innovation in beauty technology. Entries can include (but are not limited to) apps, and devices or machinery used on the hair, body, face, hands and feet.
Fashion awards
BEST SUSTAINABLE FASHION DESIGNER/BRAND. Sustainable fashion concerns more than just addressing fashion textiles or products. It comprises addressing the whole system of fashion. This means dealing with interdependent social, cultural, ecological and financial systems. Entries into this category include but are not limited to evening wear, bridal, couture and daywear
FASHION TECHNOLOGY AWARD. This category is for innovation in fashion. Entries can include (but are not limited to) apps, fabric and textile technology, design that exceeds expectation in terms of its presentation, usability and or functionality.
This award celebrates a fashion business leader who exemplifies visionary entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustained growth within the African or diaspora fashion industry.
The winner is not just a designer, they are a builder of brands, teams, and opportunities. They’ve navigated the industry with strategy, turned creativity into commerce, and built a fashion business with measurable results and lasting influence.
Nominees should demonstrate:

Evidence of brand expansion (product range, retail channels, partnerships)
Clear business model and brand identity
Strategic moves (e.g. local production, export, e-commerce, sustainability integration)
