Vaccinations & Health Precautions

Before travelling to Nigeria, the following vaccines and medications are recommended:

 Required:

  • Tetanus booster
    • Malaria prophylaxis: (tablets such as Malarone or Doxycycline)- Malaria is a risk in Nigeria, so taking appropriate preventative medication is highly advised to keep you healthy during your stay.
    • COVID-19: (current vaccinations may be required for some travellers)
  • It’s important to consult a travel health specialist or your primary care physician at least 4-6 weeks before your departure to Nigeria. They can provide personalized guidance on the recommended vaccinations and medications based on your medical history and travel plans.
